FAA Expands Use of Portable Electronics During Flight

Now you can watch your favorite TV show for the entire length of your flight On Thursday, the Federal Aviation Administration announced that airlines can now allow passengers to use portable electronic devices during all phases of a flight. Although the process will vary between airlines, the FAA says that all passengers should be able to use their devices — in airplane mode, from take-off to landing by the end of 2013.
