Game of Thrones topped Thursday's Emmy nominations with 24, while Tatiana Maslany finally broke through.

The Orphan Black star will vie for drama actress honors against two-time champ Claire Danes (Homeland), Viola Davis (How to Get Away with Murder), Taraji P. Henson (Empire), Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men) and Robin Wright (House of Cards). For the second time, defending champ Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife) was dropped after winning.
Game of Thrones is up for drama series against Better Call Saul, Downton Abbey, House of Cards, Mad Men, Orange Is the New Black, which was forced to compete in drama this year, and Homeland, which failed to make the cut last year. Mad Men is aiming for a record fifth trophy in the category.

In comedy series, Modern Family is going for an unprecedented six-peat against Louie, Parks and Recreation, Silicon Valley, Transparent, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Veep. Four-time winners The Big Bang Theory and Jim Parsons were snubbed.
