Dylan McDermott has landed the lead in The Line, TNT's new drama pilot from Jerry Bruckheimer.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the series focuses on a squad of undercover LAPD officers who do their job while battling the allure of easy, dirty money. McDermott, who won an Emmy for his work as Bobby Donnell on The Practice, will play Lt. Andre Carter, a veteran cop who created and runs this secret unit.
McDermott joins the cast of Logan Marshall-Green, Omari Hardwick and Nicki Aycox. The pilot will be executive produced by Bruckheimer, as well as the pilot's director Danny Dannon and writer Doug Jung.
McDermott was last seen on the small screen in ABC's short-lived Big Shots and is currently filming the feature Burning Palms. Are you happy to see him return to television?
