Disney Channel will give viewers another opportunity to participate in its dance competition Make Your Mark: Shake It Up Dance Off. Kids and tweens will submit videos of their dance routines to the network's website, and one grand prize winner will get to perform in an episode of Disney's hit series Shake It Up.
Viewers can now visit DisneyChannel.com/Danceoff to watch instructional dance videos hosted by Shake It Up choreographer Rosero McCoy. Kids age 8 to 16 can then submit dance videos (up to 45 seconds long, with a maximum of five dancers) to the site beginning June 29. Disney's Club Penguin virtual world will also include a Make Your Mark feature from July 19 through Aug. 1.
Finalists will be announced in September, and will then perform in front of celebrity judges on Make Your Mark: Shake It Up Dance Off, set to air in October. Last year more than 30,000 videos were submitted online, and six finalist teams competed in a two-night finale event in front of judges Selena Gomez, Sean Kingston and McCoy. Last year's telecasts ranked No. 1 with kids 6-11 and 9-14.
