David Beckham Sues Over Prostitute Claims

David Beckham has filed a lawsuit against In Touch magazine after the weekly published a story that said the soccer star had sex with prostitutes, according to The Associated Press.
In the lawsuit, filed Friday at Los Angeles Superior Court, Beckham accuses Bauer Publishing Company LP, which owns In Touch, of libel, slander and intentional infliction of emotional distress, the AP reports.

The lawsuit also names 26-year-old Irma Nici, who told In Touch that she was a former "high-class call girl" who slept with Beckham five times in 2007. Nici also claimed that Beckham had sex with another prostitute.Beckham plans to file lawsuits in other jurisdictions, including Germany, home of Bauer's parent corporation, his rep, Jeff Raymond, told the AP.

Beckham, 35, has been married to Victoria Beckham, 36, for 11 years. They have three sons, Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, 8, and Cruz, 5.Calls and emails to the Los Angeles Superior Court, Raymond and Bauer were not immediately returned.
