Matt Murdoch (Charlie Cox) will still have a lot to work to do in Hell's Kitchen when Marvel's Daredevil returns. Entertainment Weekly exclusively debuted the first photos of The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) and Elektra (Elodie Young), who will serve as new foils for Daredevil now that Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio) is behind bars.

The photo of Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, shows him holding Daredevil hostage. EW says that fans will meet him just minutes into Season 2. "The advantage of any sequel is you can dive right in," showrunner Doug Petrie says. "We hit the ground running and then we ran as fast as we f--ing could."

Elektra is shown in civilian clothing in the first snapshot. "Matt's a deeply moral, complicated guy and she's just the best bad girlfriend you can possibly have," Petrie says. "She does everything wrong and attractive, she's his id, the wild side. Matt is always taming his wild side. Elektra just lets it out. He's both repulsed and deeply drawn to that."
Daredevil returns to Netflix in 2016.
