Marvel's Daredevil is tapping some more super power for Season 2! Elodie Yung (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) has been cast in the Netflix drama as the mysterious Elektra.

The first season of the drama made reference to Elektra, a woman from Matt Murdock's past who can be both dangerous and exotic - a winning and hard-to-handle combination for Murdock.

Who's a badass? That would be The Walking Dead's Jon Bernthal on Daredevil

Elektra is the latest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The character first appeared in a Daredevil comic in 1981 as a love interest for the hero, though her mercenary lifestyle was an obstacle in their relationship. As a favorite of Frank Miller's work, Elektra has rarely been seen in the Universe without his permission, and has appeared as a supporting character of Wolverine in other series and adaptations.

Jennifer Garner played Elektra in the 2005 spinoff of 2003's Daredevilfilm, opposite her now-estranged husband Ben Affleck as the masked hero.

Elektra is a ninja assassin who is traditionally of Greek descent. Yung, who is half Cambodian and half French, has a black belt in karate and may be familiar to fans of the parkour sequel film District 13: Ultimatum. Check out her moves below:

Season 2 of Daredevil will launch on Netflix in 2016.
