Dancing with the Stars: Poor Grocery Store Joe Has Loaves of Bread for Feet

Our beautiful Bachelor in Paradise boy Grocery Store Joe Amabile has a pattern: he lets his nerves take control of him and he messes up. It happened on night one of The Bachelorette, when he got so tongue-tied around Becca Kufrin that she sent him home, and it happened again on night one of Dancing with the Stars, when he danced so poorly that Len Goodman gave him a 4. One more than 3 and one less than 5. He and Jenna Johnson got 14/30 overall. That's a very low score!

The judges had nothing positive to say about Grocery Store Joe's skills on the floor. Each time they said "you've got personality" or "you're not a professional dancer" I flinched. Poor guy. I didn't think it was so bad that he should have been shamed for his poor performance like he was, but it wasn't good. He was awkward and stiff and goofy, which is consistent with his character, at least. He smiled through it all, but you could tell he was disappointed. Also his "Fish Out of Water" song, all-white tux and shopping cart props were goofy and didn't help his case.

Jenna better push him hard in rehearsal today, or else he'll be making the second first-week exit of his reality show career tonight.

Dancing with the Stars' week one results show airs Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 8/7c, and at its regular time Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.
