Good news, human beings! NBC has renewed Community for a fifth season, the network announced Friday.

The cult favorite comedy was on the bubble once again after its fourth season — its first without creator and original showrunner Dan Harmon. Executive producers David Guarascio and Moses Port replaced Harmon, but the new episodes did not premiere until February.

Fall TV Scorecard: Which shows are returning? Which aren't?

The news comes one day after Community ended the season on a high note, drawing 3.1 million viewers and a 1.3 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic. Earlier this week, NBC renewed Parks and Recreation, but canceled comedies 1600 Penn, Go On, Whitney, Guys with Kidsand Up All Night.

Community will return for Season 5 minus one cast member, Chevy Chase, who abruptly left the comedy in November towards the end of production on Season 4. Chase was not always kind to the show in the press, once calling his participation in the series a "big mistake." He had also publicly butted heads with Harmon.

Are you glad Community is coming back for a fifth season?
