Report: Colin Farrell Confirms He's Starring in True Detective
Colin Farrell says he's starring in Season 2 of True Detective. "I'm doing the second series. I'm so excited," the Irish actor told Sunday World adding, "I know it will be eight episodes and take around four or five months to shoot. I know very little about it, but we're shooting in the environs of Los Angeles which is great. It means I get to stay at home and see the kids."

In July, it was first reported that Farrell and Taylor Kitsch were in talks for the HBO series. But the rumor mill has continued to churn, suggesting that such actors as Vince Vaughn, Elisabeth Moss and Jessica Chastain were also reportedly on the list. Chastain's rep shot those rumors down while Moss says she "knows nothing."
HBO did not immediately return TVGuide.com's request for comment.
