Charlie Sheen will make a "revealing personal announcement" during an interview with Matt Lauer on Tuesday's Todayshow, NBC announced Monday. According to several reports, the revelation is going to be that the Two and a Half Menalum is HIV-positive.

TMZ, citing sources from the Today show, reports that Sheen plans to discuss his "HIV status" in the wake of a report National Enquirer that he has kept his HIV-positive diagnosis a secret for four years.

Sheen, 50, once claimed he slept with more than 5,000 women, according to the Enquirer, which spoke to several of Sheen's exes, including Brooke Mueller, his ex-wife and the mother of his children. At least four sources told the Enquirer that the actor exposed them to HIV and paid them in exchange for their silence.

Fall TV Scorecard: What's renewed? What's canceled?

The Enquirer, which claims to have first confronted Sheen about the allegations in 2014, says his medical outlook is positive. A number of Sheen's former lovers have reportedly filed lawsuits against him for failing to disclose his status.

Sheen's interview with Matt Lauer will air live on Tuesday's Today show.
