CBS is hot for teacher — Bad Teacher, that is. The network has ordered a comedy pilot based on the 2011 big-screen black comedy of the same name starring Cameron Diaz.

Happy Endings writer Hilary Winston will write the single-camera laugher about  on a foul-mouthed divorcee who becomes a teacher to find her next husband. Winston will executive-produce with the film's scribes Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupinsky, as well as Sam Hansen and Jimmy Miller.

From The Mentalist creator and showrunner Bruno Heller, CBS also ordered one drama pilot titled The Advocates. In the project, a female lawyer and a male ex-con team up as "victim advocates" who go to the very edge of the law to right wrongs and battle for the underdog. Heller will write and executive-produce.
