Ugly Betty's Michael Urie is returning to television in the CBS pilot Partners.

The comedy pilot tells the personal story of two lifelong friends and business partners — one straight and one gay (Urie) — whose friendship has lasted longer than any of their romantic relationships. When one decides to propose to his girlfriend (Sophia Bush), the other's neurotic attempts to be supportive nearly result in a breakup.

Pilot Season: Get the scoop!

This is the first regular gig for Urie since his turn as Marc. St James on Ugly Betty. Since the end of the series, Urie has been starring on Broadway, currently in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

Will & Graceduo David Kohan and Max Mutchnick will executive-produce Partners.
