Josh Cooke has been added opposite Alan Tudyk to the still untitled ABC comedy from David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, according to the Hollywood ReporterCooke, who recently starred on CBS's comedy pilot My Best Friend's Girl, plays the straight lifelong best friend and business partner of Tudyk's gay character. Will & Grace creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick are joining the post-strike rush of pilot orders with their greenlit comedy for ABC.The as-yet-unnamed show (which was written on spec prior to the strike), features two best friends and biz partners one straight, one gay who have to navigate their relationship when they each find romantic partners at the same time. The comedy's likely inspired in part by the writers' real friendship and longtime working relationship.
