Bruce Jenner says he's praying for the family of the victim who died in the fatal car crash he was involved in over the weekend.

On Saturday, Jenner rear-ended a Lexus sedan that then veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a black Hummer. The driver of the Lexus, 69-year-old Kim Howe, was pronounced dead at the scene.

"My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident," Jenner said in a statement according to the The Associated Press. "It is a devastating tragedy. I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. I am praying for them."

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's office, investigators will likely seek cellphone records of all parties involved, but Jenner's publicist said, "The evidence will show that Bruce was not texting at the time of the accident." Jenner also passed a field sobriety test.
