Brian Williams' six-month suspension from NBC News is over, CNNMoney reports.
Williams was suspended without pay in February after it was revealed that he had repeatedly lied about being on board a helicopter that was shot down in Iraq in 2003.
As previously announced, Williams will move to MSNBC, where he'll be a breaking news and special reports anchor. He'll assume the new role mid-September, but an official start date has not yet been set, according to CNNMoney.
Lester Holt, who filled in for Williams as the anchor of NBC Nightly News during Williams' suspension, was named the show's permanent anchor in June, despite generating lower ratings than Williams did.

NBC's investigation into Williams' helicopter account revealed that Williams had also embellished several other stories over the years.
In an interview with the Today show in June, Williams apologized for his actions and said he never intended to deceive the public.
