Tonight at 9 pm/ET, Beverly Hills 90210 alum Brian Austin Green joins Fox's Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles as... well, his role is extremely hush-hush. But I think I have a bead on it, so let's waste no more time and get this Q&A under way to find out what's what, shall we?

TVGuide.com: So, are we at a point yet where Brian Austin Green can discuss with any detail his Sarah Connor Chronicles character?
Brian Austin Green:
No, no, not really. Not until after Monday's episode.

TVGuide.com: You son of a gun....
Green:
I swear, it's not me. [Executive producer] Josh Friedman would wring my neck if I gave anything away. He lives the character and he's really excited about it, and he wants to keep it a surprise for the fans.

TVGuide.com: I think it's as simple as you're playing an older version of John Connor.
Green:
Uh... I'd say you're wrong.

TVGuide.com: Really?! But you could pass for an older version of Thomas Dekker.
Green:
[Laughs] That was a good guess, though. But no. You thought you had it, too!

TVGuide.com: Well, kinda sorta. Tell me the circumstances under which we meet your character.
Green:
Hmmm.... It's a big chess tournament, and Andy Goode, the guy who created the big chess machine, he's at this tournament where these machines are battling it out. I'm somehow involved in that.

TVGuide.com: So it could turn out that we have chess to blame for the inevitable Armageddon?
Green:
Could be, yeah. Absolutely.

TVGuide.com: Any sort of romantic interests for your character? Do he and Sarah rub each other the right way?
Green:
There's really a possibility for everything. Who knows? It's hard to say.

TVGuide.com: What's funny is here you are, ostensibly battling big metal monsters on Sarah Connor, and your girlfriend, Megan Fox, did the same last summer in Transformers.
Green:
I know. [Laughs] Someone noted that the other day, and I hadn't thought about it. It's just completely random. But at the end of the day, we're both fighting CGI monsters.

TVGuide.com: Since you, as I did, grew up with the Terminator films, did that have you particularly psyched to do this series?
Green:
Dude, I keep reminding people that I had T2 on laser disc.

TVGuide.com: That big pizza-platter-type thing, yeah!
Green:
You had to flip it over from side A to side B? I remember when they first started really selling home-theater equipment, whenever you would go into a store, Terminator 2 was always the movie they were showing, and it was always the same scene — the truck driving off the bridge into the ravine, with Schwarzenegger doing the whole flip-over shotgun thing on his motorcycle. It was just so groundbreaking. So to have been a part of that and now work with the same stunt coordinator from the films... it's so surreal.

TVGuide.com: For how many episodes do we have you?
Green:
Five. I'm in for the rest of the season.

TVGuide.com: And if the series continues at some point...?
Green:
As of right now, they have no intention of [sending] me going anywhere.

TVGuide.com: What do you make of this great year the 90210 alums have had? Ian [Ziering] and Jennie [Garth] were on the Dancing show, Jason [Priestley] had a series, Tori [Spelling] has a reality show....
Green:
Yeah, we seem to be pretty lucky so far! I don't know what it is.... It's kind of unexplainable!
