Has Breaking Bad's Walter White fully transitioned into his evil alter ego Heisenberg? It sure looks like it.

After the way Season 4 ended — with Walt (Bryan Cranston) blowing up meth kingpin Gus (Giancarlo Esposito) — the promos and posters for the show's fifth season rightly note that Walt is now the king. When Walt wants to feel powerful, he always slips into Heisenberg's porkpie hat. So it's worth noting in the exclusive first-look images for Season 5, Walt does seem to be getting his Heisenberg on. All hail the king, indeed.
But let's take a closer look at these photos. Walt and his partner Jesse (Aaron Paul) both appear to be looking through shattered glass. (It also happens to be the same blue tint as the crystal meth they are infamous for making.) Is their empire crumbling around them? Or are they breaking through to the next level of success?

The broken glass may also symbolize the breaking of Walt and Jesse's relationship. Lest we forget, the Season 4 finale implicated Walt in the poisoning of Jesse's girlfriend's young son, just to get Jesse to turn against Gus. That betrayal could very well shatter the bond between the partners in crime.
