Look who's hitting the books!

Penny (Kaley Cuoco) is going back to school on The Big Bang Theory, and Alphas' Ryan Cartwright has been cast as one of her new classmates, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Cartwright, 31, will appear in the Nov. 15 episode as Cole, a new study buddy and a potential new problem to come between Penny and Leonard (Johnny Galecki). Between Cole and Sheldon's cute new assistant Alex (Margo Harshman), we're not sure how much longer these two will-they-or-won't-they lovebirds are going to be able stay together.

In addition to playing  the autistic Gary Bell on the Syfy series, Cartwright is known for his roles as John Hooker, Lane's typist right arm at Sterling Cooper on Mad Men and British lab assistant Vincent Nigel-Murray, whose encyclopedic knowledge graced several seasons of Bones before he took a bullet in the heart.
