Who Will Jenna Choose on the Awkward Season Finale?

On the Awkward.season finale, star Beau Mirchoff promises an end to the season-long love triangle.

"It all gets resolved — well, maybe not resolved, but it comes to a conclusion," Mirchoff says. "Jenna makes a choice between Matty and Jake."

The MTV series, which was recently picked up for a second season, follows the ups — and more often downs — of high school teen Jenna Hamilton (Ashley Rickards). Mirchoff plays Matty, the popular jock who's been keeping his relationship with Jenna quiet. He blames Matty's insensitive actions on his immaturity. "It's all new to him. He's 16 years old and he's never had a real girlfriend," he says." I think sometimes he puts on this façade because he wants to be cool, but Matty is truly a good guy and means well."

To further complicate Jenna and Matty's romance, Matty's best friend Jake (Brett Davern) also likes Jenna, but has no idea the two are involved. When Jenna recently reached her breaking point with the secret affair, she accepted Jake's offer to the school's formal. On Tuesday's finale (11/10c, MTV), the situation comes to a head. Who does Mirchoff think Jenna should choose? "As unbiased of an opinion I can have, I think Jenna's true love is Matty. Maybe, at this point, Jake is better for her ... but I don't think she truly loves Jake," he says.
