Get excited, Angel fans. The cast of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer spin-off will reunite to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the show's premiere. However, not everyone will be present for the special occasion.

A Twitter video, which dropped Tuesday, revealed that stars Charisma Carpenter, James Marsters, Amy Acker, J. August Richards and Alexis Denisof will assemble to celebrate the milestone at this year's New York Comic Con, which takes place Oct. 3-6 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Unfortunately, it looks like David Boreanaz, who starred as the titular character for three seasons on Buffy before jumping ship to headline his own series, will not take part in the festivities.

Boreanaz previously expressed interest in doing something for the show's 20th's anniversary during an appearance on The Talkearlier this year. "We're coming up on our 20 years," Boreanaz said in March. "That's amazing to have been blessed with a show like that. That's really where I started my gig in this acting world. I love that character. So I will say there may be something coming up. I don't want to give away a lot. It's 20 years coming up this fall, and we may have something in the works." Who knows, maybe he'll change his mind before October and give us the proper Angel reunion that we deserve.

The series, which ran for five seasons on The WB, followed Angel's efforts to save the innocents of Los Angeles from the dangerous supernatural beings running rampant throughout the city. He enlisted a misfit crew of Buffy alum and newbies alike including Buffy's rival-turned-ally Cordelia Chase (Carpenter); adorkable half-human, half-demonic seer Doyle (the late Glenn Quinn); ousted Watcher Wesley Wyndam-Pryce (Denisof); the street-savvy Charles Gunn (Richards), lovable demonic lounge singer Lorne (the late Andy Hallett); and brilliant scientist Fred Burkle (Acker), who died in Season 5 only to be reborn as the goddess Illyria.

As we gear up for the upcoming reunion, fans can also look forward to a Buffy reboot which was announced last year and has received support from both Boreanaz and Marsters.

Catch the Angel cast in action at New York Comic Con and stream the entire series on Hulu.
