Amazing Race's Jet and Cord: Navigation Was Our Downfall

Jet and Cord's "off" day came at a terrible time on The Amazing Race All-Stars Sunday. After making a series of navigation errors in Seville, Spain, the cowboys missed a clue at the bulls Detour and got U-Turned by Leo and Jamal, who reneged on the Accidental Alliance's plan to U-Turn Brendon and Rachel. Their sliver of hope vanished when they were beaten to the second U-Turn by Caroline and Jen, whom they had directed to the Detour clue earlier. "It was just as disappointing watching it back as it was being there," Jet tells TVGuide.com. "It's always hard to get eliminated and it's like reliving it all over again. It's the second time we got U-Turned and eliminated." Check out what else they have to say about their "poor leg," the Accidental Alliance, if they'll race a fourth time and literally riding off into the sunset.

Who were this season's MVPs?

Do you know how far behind you were?
Jet:
No, I don't. I don't think we were that far even though we had to do the dancing Detour. You made a bunch of little mistakes and it all added up. Where do you think it went wrong?
Cord:
I don't think it's the first time that we've had trouble or been lost. It was almost a domino effect though. You get a little lost here and it puts you behind here and that gets you U-Turned. It was a poor leg [for us] and it came at a bad time.Do you know how much time you wasted looking for the Detour clue? It was long enough that Caroline and Jen finished their Speed Bump.
Jet:
I don't know. We wasted quite a bit. We were walking around for a while. We did have a terrible time getting around Seville. Navigation was probably our ultimate downfall.Do you regret telling Caroline and Jen where the clue was?
Jet:
There were people asking me when we were watching it about telling them where the clue was. When I said, "It's down there on the right," there were about five different doors on the right that you could go to. That place was like a giant maze. But I don't regret telling them anything.I don't know if you can answer this, and they could've just shown you finishing your Detours out of order, but how did the girls beat you to the U-Turn box?
Cord:
Yeah, we don't know. They could've finished before we did and probably did. We had to do the bulls twice since we missed the clue the first time, and I think that is what put them ahead of us.You didn't seem that surprised that you were U-Turned. Were you fully expecting it even though Brendon and Rachel were the target?
Cord:
I don't know. I guess the only way not to get U-Turned is to be ahead of everyone. That's just part of the game. They had the opportunity to U-Turn somebody, and Leo and Jamal saw it as an opportunity to get us out of the race. They kind of said it themselves: If it came down to it, they didn't want to race against us. You hate that it's you, but on the other hand, it's kind of hard to blame them if that's how they felt. If they thought it would help them get the $1 million, then so be it.

Amazing Race's Flight Time and Big Easy: It's the donkey's fault!

It seemed like they were still going to U-Turn Brendon and Rachel until Jamal injured his knee. Had he not injured his knee, do you think they would've U-Turned them? Have you talked to them about this?
Jet:
No, we haven't talked to them about it. I mean, their Accidental Alliance agreed to U-Turn Brendon and Rachel. But it's like Cord said, it's a race. They said they were going to U-Turn Brendon and Rachel and then U-Turned us instead. That's kind of aggravating, but in the end, it really was their best play.Would you have U-Turned the girls had you gotten there first?
Jet:
I don't know. On three seasons, we've never U-Turned anybody. Me and Cord always felt like even if there were somebody behind us, we always felt like we could beat them at whatever was ahead of us. In that situation, I think we probably would've stayed with the same game plan. I don't think we have to U-Turn somebody to beat them. You tried to stay out of the U-Turn drama and the Accidental Alliance. But would you have been as upset as Dave and Connor were about getting U-Turned by Brendon and Rachel?
Cord:
The U-Turn's part of the race. If that's what that team decides they need to do, that's fine. I don't think Jet and I run around thinking about what everybody else is doing and thinking. We didn't lose any sleep on the race thinking about what Dave and Connor were thinking about Brendon and Rachel. That helped you for a little bit since everyone was ganging up on Brendon and Rachel.
Jet:
Right. And like Cord said, we always tried to stay out of the drama and just race. You can argue both ways that there may have been places where it would've helped us to form an alliance and all of that, and there may have been places where it wouldn't have made a difference. But me and Cord run our own race and we're not afraid to go up against anyone. When you get down to the final three, there's not going to be any alliance anyway, so we figured, why start out running that way? That's the thing about this whole alliance. Ultimately, the alliance had decided one thing and then one team ended up doing something else. Even if we had been in the mix with them, we were still going to get U-Turned because obviously they weren't going to do what they had decided to do in the first place. So I think either way, it doesn't matter.

Amazing Race's John and Jessica: We should not have asked for the answer

Where did you ride the horse off to?
Jet:
Oklahoma! [Laughs]You didn't fly back?
Cord:
Nah. I just headed west. I saw the sunset, so we just rode that way.Would you race for a fourth time?
Cord:
They have to ask us first! You know what was cool about when they called us to come back for this? Jet and I were riding horses in a pasture and I answered my cell phone. And we ended Amazing Race All-Stars riding a horse off into the sunset. It may not have been $1 million, but it was a winning situation. What are you up to now?
Jet:
Working a bunch of cattle! I've got a ton of cattle waiting on me after our interviews.Cord: I'm riding some horses. I bought a horse ... and I'm going to get a new one.Happy riding! I hope with the horse from Seville too.Cord: [Laughs] Yes! Thank you much!Catch up on The Amazing Race All-Stars here.(Full disclosure: TVGuide.com is owned by CBS.)
