Amazing Race's Phil Keoghan Previews Finale Shocker: I Couldn't Believe It Happened

The Amazing Race kicked off Season 20 with what Phil Keoghan called the "most bizarre Pit Stop." On Sunday (8/7c, CBS), the season will close with the series' "biggest shocker ever." For the first time, the team who arrives first at the finish line will be turned around for not completing a task correctly. "We were shocked as the viewers are gonna be," Keoghan tells TVGuide.com. "We were like, 'What just happened?' ... I couldn't believe it happened. Never have we had to tell the team that comes in first that they didn't win the $1 million. But it's good to know we can still have firsts 20 seasons in!" Of course, that team still has a chance to win if they can rectify their mistake at the Roadblock before the next team arrives.

So which team — married couple Dave and Rachel, Big Brother's Brendon and Rachel, border patrol agents Art and JJ, or dating divorcees Vanessa and Ralph — makes the potentially fatal error?

Amazing Race's Jet and Cord: It Would've Been "Really Cool" If Someone Told Us the Answer

They survived back-to-back close-call legs, but cowboys/brothers Jet and Cord McCoy couldn't make another comeback on The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business Sunday. After Jet was the only Racer to redo the Roadblock of measuring the length of Liechtenstein — and was left out of the answer sharing circle — the fan favorites had their fates sealed when they were U-Turned by the Globetrotters in Zermatt, Switzerland. Still, the self-proclaimed "lone rangers" don't think their independent style of racing hurt them in a leg where so many teams worked together. "If we had an alliance with the Globetrotters, I think in the same situation, they would've done exactly what they did," Jet tells TVGuide.com. "An alliance might give you that warm, fuzzy feeling, but I don't know if it's going to save you." See what else the Season 16 alums have to say about their exit, if they would've used the U-Turn and why Gary rocks.

Amazing Race's Jet and Cord: We're "Still Wondering" Why Dan and Jordan Cut in Line

Jet and Cord McCoy's never-say-die attitude helped them make Amazing Race history earlier this season when they became the first team to jump from last to first with a Speed Bump. But the cowboys/brothers couldn't make one last comeback when it mattered most in the finale, falling to Dan and Jordan. "We thought we could catch up to them right up until we came out on the tunnel and saw them on the mat already," Jet, 30, tells TVGuide.com. "There was obviously disappointment that we were second, but you take the bad with the good. We had a great time and feel like we ran a great Race." See what else they say about the infamous cut-in-line, if they tried to move up to first class and why Cord, 29, had "a lot of fun" at the virtual reality task.

Amazing Race's Daniel and Jordan: First-Class Move "Made All the Difference in the World"

It became a battle of the brothers at the end of The Amazing Race 16, with the Rhode Island-bred Daniel, 25, and Jordan Pious, 23, edging out cowboys Jet and Cord for the $1 million — without any advantage from cutting in line at the airport. "We were in the same exact plane at the same exact time, all middle seats in three consecutive rows. Caite and Brent, who were first to get tickets, were in the row furthest from the front," Dan tells TVGuide.com. "If people want to be up-in-arms about cutting, I can understand that, but don't think that it affected the Race. ... And Cord did a good job of getting revenge and distracting me at the virtual challenge, so I guess we're even." It was, rather, the move up to first class that ensured the Piouses a lead that they never relinquished. So how did they smooth-talk their way up front?

Amazing Race's Michael and Louie: "Mr. Know-It-All" Joe Needs to Get Over the U-Turn

Louie Stravato, 47, and Michael Naylor's enemies were already eliminated on The Amazing Race, so they decided to keep their competition — Daniel and Jordan — close, working with them for the first half of the second leg in Shanghai. "I said, 'If we go head-to-head, I think we can beat them out,'" Michael, 45, tells TVGuide.com. They didn't, as the brothers edged them for the last spot in the final three. Still, the self-described "Porn-stache-ioed cops" stick by their decision, just like they do with their choice to U-Turn Heidi and Joe — who "needs to get over it."
