Ever since NBC announced that the Heroesfranchise was being relaunched as the miniseries Heroes: Reborn, fans have been salivating in anticipation over which of the original cast members would return.

Unfortunately, Ali Larter is among those who won't be back. "No," Larter tells TVGuide.com when asked if she'd reprise her role(s) for the reboot. "At this point, I think I've heard that Jack [Coleman] is coming back, but I'm committed to [TNT's] Legends. I'm on series, so I don't have the time to work on another project. Not that I didn't love Heroes and loved working on it, but I'm just at a different stage of my life. I'm super excited  and proud to be a part of this show and working with Sean Bean and an incredible cast."

Larter, who played multiple super-powered characters including Niki/Jessica Sanders and Tracy Strauss, gives Heroes fans the tiniest glimmer of hope, though. When pressed if she'd make a cameo if asked, Larter replies, "It could be possible if [Legends] would let me. It's like the studio system from back in the day. They own me now, so they tell me what I can and can't do."

Little is known about Heroes: Reborn except that it will run for 13 episodes and air in 2015. So far, Jack Coleman is the only returning cast member that has been announced. In April, former cast member Hayden Panettiere said she had not been asked to join the miniseries, while some reports say Zachary Quinto, who played Sylar, and Milo Ventimiglia, who played Peter Petrelli, are not available for Heroes: Reborn.

On TNT's new drama Legends, Larter and Bean star as FBI agents adept at assuming false identities. The series premieres Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 9/8c.
