ABC Developing Comedy with Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos

Kelly Ripa may soon be pulling double duty on TV again.

The Live with Regis and Kellyco-host has entered into a script deal with ABC to develop Port Love, a comedy focusing on the backstage drama of a television series, a network rep confirms.

Ripa and husband Mark Consuelos will co-write, executive produce and star in the series. Jeffrey Hodes and Nastaran Dibai, with whom Ripa worked with on Hope & Faith, will co-write.

Ripa first pulled double duty in 2001 when she simultaneously starred on All My Children, where she met her husband,and replaced Kathy Lee on Live. She also starred on Hope & Faith, which also ran on ABC from 2003 to 2006, while hosting Live.
