Christopher Gorham, who weeks ago declined to move to the island of Manhattan, is A-OK with calling Harper's Island home. Per the Reporter, Ugly Betty's Henry has been tapped to play another Henry this time the groom-to-be, versus a prospective fiancé on CBS' midseason drama about a group of friends who venture to an isle off of Seattle. Their purpose? A destination wedding. The actual events that unfold, though, are akin to a serialized horror thriller. I had the chance to screen an early "drama presentation" of Harper's Island, and dang if it didn't float my boat, so to speak. Gorham apparently replaces whoever that was playing the fiancé in the original pilot. The Gorham news is but the latest wrinkle in Betty's love life. Weeks ago, an ABC rep told me viewers "have not seen the last of Henry," though that may just mean he's in the season premiere to wrap up the marriage proposal story. Freddy Rodriguez right now is slated for just one more appearance as G...

Posted by devera...Jeers to Ugly Betty for Henry not returning. I put all that effort into caring about Betty and Henry's relationship and rooting for the nice guy, and [Christopher Gorham] isn't even coming back as a series regular? For a show that is supposedly about heart and the nice guy winning, is this a "jump the shark" moment? Someone needs to figure out a way to bring him back, and pronto. It's just something I know! Share your own raves and rants about other shows on the Reader Cheers & Jeers discussion board. We may feature your Cheer or Jeer on TVGuide.com or in TV Guide magazine!

Daniel and Claire were able to see a sensitive, loving father and husband tonight in Bradford Meade. Even though Daniel couldn't say those three big words, his father in a flash of insight into the son who cares so deeply about family perceived that that was what he was thinking. Too bad Daniel didn't hear him say that he loved him. And I'm so glad Claire and Bradford had a quiet tender moment to reflect on their 35-year marriage and love. But these poignant moments made his passing all the more jarring, as evidenced by Claire silently being transported to Rikers and Daniel, Alex (and Betty) staring off blankly in his former hospital room.At least Bradford discovered Willie's affair before agreeing to the bedside matrimony although I'd have been tempted to be married by the online-ordained (Rev.?) St. James, with marital melody emanating from his cell phone. And thankfully we didn't have to wait very long for Daniel to discover the reason of Betty's "betrayal." ...

Episode Recap: "A League of Their Own"Henry + Betty = Love. So, what do you think? I know many of you, like me, adore the adorkable Henry, and think he and Betty are perfect for each other. But others have commented that Betty needs someone like Gio, a guy who will challenge her and bring some spice into her life (and who doesn't have a child by another woman, at least as far as we know, to complicate matters). You have a point, too. According to the promo for next week, it looks like the renewed relationship won't be all roses. But honestly, I don't know that Betty would have survived (or understood) the ways of online dating, starting with the importance of watching your spelling. At the Pinz bowling alley, once Niceguy47 made a remark about her photo and kept glancing at his watch, we all knew he'd bail. Oh, Betty, so blissfully ignorant to the New York dating scene! But our Henry was there, watching out for her or jealously stalking her. Their just-friends mantra failed m...

First things first, it's a little overdue but I have been wanting to say, "Congratulations, America wins!" (Makes for a great headline, eh?)America Ferrera, the 23-year-old lead actress who sets the tone for the ABC show Ugly Betty, went off and won herself an Emmy. Not that all the other prizes, most notably a second season, aren't gifts enough, but good for her. She does a nice job and better than that, after visiting the set twice, I can tell you that people without provocation sing her praises. I didn't get to meet her, unfortunately, because "of the demands on her schedule," but that's what people say. (But don't worry, you'll see a lot of America when you tune in to inFANity. I just didn't talk to her. I'm past it now.)I did, however, get to meet the others, many who are terribly underrated. Take, for example, Michael Urie, who plays Marc with a C. Sure his character is flamboyant and, you might say, expected. Next time you watch, though, pay attention to the details. The thea...
