Nancy pays a secret visit to Guillermo in prison; Celia puts her time in the rebel camp to good use by organizing their supplies; Shane decides to visit Nancy's estranged sister (Jennifer Jason Leigh); Silas and Doug second-guess their choice of a pot-growing plot.
Nancy gets a new bodyguard after Cesar tires of watching over her; Celia's mother-hen, over-managing ways in the rebel camp begin to grate on her captors; Silas and Doug try to get approval to open a medical-marijuana dispensary, but first must get clearance from local law enforcement; Nancy's older sister Jill (Jennifer Jason Leigh) shows up in town.
Rogue DEA agent Roy Till pays a surprise visit to Nancy; Celia returns from Mexico and takes residence in Nancy's garage; Andy uncovers an old bank account of his brother's and tries to come up with a way to gain access to it; Silas and Doug seek a lease for their medical-marijuana dispensary and use their new law-enforcement connection to lean on a potential landlord.
Nancy discusses the possibility of an abortion with her obstetrician (Alanis Morissette); Shane employs some strong-arm help to get his pot back from a teacher (Todd Robert Anderson); Andy pretends to be Judah to wine and dine a bank teller, who he hopes will help him gain access to his late brother's account; Silas and Doug are off to see "The Wizard," a marijuana provider whom they need to supply cannabis for their dispensary.
Esteban's proposal to a very pregnant Nancy comes with a surprise string attached; Celia discovers that being a working stiff at the mall isn't in her makeup; and Shane's eventful day with Ignacio proves to be most revealing. Meanwhile, Silas and Doug's medical-marijuana business gets up and running, but Deputy C.P. Jones (Larry Joe Campbell) won't stay quiet on the issue.
Nancy discovers the identity of Esteban's other woman and learns that he has special plans for Nancy's delivery, but she teams with Andy and Dr. Kitson (Alanis Morissette) to take control of her situation; Celia realizes that her get-rich-quick scheme may take some time; Silas and Doug's medical-marijuana dispensary is in danger of getting snuffed out by meddling Dep. C.P. Jones (Larry Joe Campbell).
The appearance of the other woman (Kate del Castillo) complicates the relationship between Esteban and Nancy. Nancy seeks Andy's help, but he is distracted by his new romance with Dr. Kitson. Meanwhile, Dean steps in to help Doug and Silas get the dispensary back up and running, but Celia has other plans.
Parenthood struggles lead Nancy and Andy to bond, while Shane runs into some problems of his own; coworkers Celia and Dean develop a new marketing scheme after discovering they have a surplus of product.
New enemies threaten both Silas and Shane, so Nancy steps in to offer protection, while Esteban's campaign problem could lead to more grief for the Botwins. Andy and Audra (Alanis Morissette) make a relationship commitment; Celia comes up with a new marijuana supplier, and Dean and Doug decide it's time to take her down.
Esteban's daughter (Seychelle Gabriel) arrives, leaving Nancy with a whole new set of problems to deal with; Andy and Audra revel in a day's worth of quality time together; Celia engages in some sexual exploration, while Dean, Isabelle and Doug plot revenge against her.
Esteban goes missing and Nancy, Andy and Cesar (Enrique Castillo) go looking for him; Dean and Doug's revenge plan on Celia gets underway; and Silas and Shane become very protective of their recently arrived stepsister (Seychelle Gabriel).
In the fifth-season finale, Nancy scrambles to ensure her own safety after she gets word of Esteban's fate; Andy decides it's time to make some adjustments to his unfocused life; Dean, Doug and Celia come to an agreeable understanding; and Silas comes to the aid of Adelita (Seychelle Gabriel) when informed of her serious medical condition.
