This season starts with a bang - literally. Just as Tara decides to move on from her past, a sudden neighborhood incident opens the door to her family's shocking secrets. Her alters - some returning and some new - will help unravel the mysteries while simultaneously infusing their own chaos into the mix. Meanwhile, the rest of Tara's family explores their own identities as Max hits a boiling point; Marshall questions his sexuality; Kate takes on an online fantasy persona; and Charmaine finds herself in a complicated love triangle. watch
United States of Tara stars Oscar nominee Toni Collette as "Tara," a suburban wife and mother struggling with DID, (dissociative identity disorder), formerly known as multiple personality disorder. Executive produced by Steven Spielberg and created by Diablo Cody, the series delves into how a family copes with the various personalities that may appear on any given day, including "T," a provocative teenager, "Buck," a gun-toting Vietnam vet and "Alice," a Betty Crocker homemaker - and potentially others along the way. watch
Season 3 begins with Tara returning to the family's Labor Day barbecue, after a transition to Buck leads her on an unexpected mission. Kate is trying desperately to plan the next phase of her life, one that does not include college or living with her very pregnant Aunt Charmaine, who, in her own way, avoids committing to Neil. Meanwhile, student filmmakers Marshall and Lionel Trane make their first commitment together when they purchase a new video camera for film class. All the college talk makes Tara realize how badly she wants to finish the last few credits of her own degree, and so, with the help of Ted Mayo (MICHAEL HITCHCOCK), Tara enrolls in a few classes, including a psychology course taught by the charismatic Dr. Jack Hattaras. But Max is fearful that the stress of college will cause Tara to transition...or worse. watch
