An FBI Missing Persons Unit in Manhattan races the clock to crack cases by learning as much as possible about people who may have been kidnapped or killed, taken their own lives or simply wanted to disappear. A photo of an actual missing individual is shown at the end of each episode with instructions for viewers to contact a local FBI office with information on the person's whereabouts. Solidly written and performed, the series successfully challenged the Thursday-night dominance of 'ER.'
  • Mega Buzz on Grey's, Heroes, CSI: Miami, 24 and More | Today's News: Our Take | 11/11/2008
Senior editors Matt Webb Mitovich and Mickey O'Connor answer your burning questions. All requests for spoilery goodness should be sent to mega_scoop@tvguide.com.  After watching the promo for the next episode of Grey's, I must ask: Is there anything for Mer-Der fans to look forward to? You know, other than three women lying in Mer's bed while Derek lives downstairs? — KarenMatt: Well when you phrase it like that, you make me think that Melissa George's debut this week as Sadie, a college pal of Meredith's, will only further muddle things for the would-be Mr. and Mrs. Shepherd. But maybe not. Consider this: Sadie's arrival will prompt Cristina — who feels displaced by her BFF's old BFF — to be a better sounding board for Derek, and that just might ease the tension in the lovebirds' overcrowded nest. Oh, and speaking of Xtina: Kevin McKidd (Owen) is now a series regular. When does the next volume start on Heroes? Because "Villains" is turning... read more 43 Comments
  • Mega Buzz on 24, CSI, Without a Trace and More! | Today's News: Our Take | 11/4/2008
Senior editors Matt Webb Mitovich and Mickey O'Connor answer your burning questions. Be sure to direct any new seekage of spoilers to mega_scoop@tvguide.com.  The new 24 trailer is totally awesome! I seriously can't wait for Season 7. I'm in urgent need of some scoop to satisfy this 24 craving of mine! — JackMATT: First off, how much do I doubt your name is actually Jack? Too coincidental. But yeah, the new trailer is very much awesome — especially when Bauer tells you-know-who, "I will kill you, and you'll stay dead this time." Speaking of resurrections, the trailer also suggests to me that someone who I thought I saw die in the prequel movie (coming to you Nov. 23) has somehow been granted a second life. Interesting. Can we expect anything of substance regarding the rest of the Without a Trace cast beyond the Jack and Samantha storyline? — JenniferMICKEY: Boy, do I have good news for you, Jen. An upcoming episode will ... read more 60 Comments

  • Mega Buzz on Grey's, Fringe, CSI: NY and More! | Today's News: Our Take | 10/22/2008
Senior editors Matt Webb Mitovich and Mickey O'Connor answer your questions. What have you got for Grey's Anatomy that isn't about Mer and Der? — BethAnn Matt: Mmmm, this vittle made it to my desk just before deadline, and goodness, it's tasty. What you may know: This week, Sloan counsels the "Mason-Dixon line"-averse Callie on the ways of love. What you don't know: He teaches by doing. What does that mean?! Fringe is the most addictive new show on television! Give me some scoop on when Olivia and Peter will get all romantic. — Keith Mickey: Well, Keith, I hate to disappoint you (perv), but it's going to be a while. This show is so not about sex right now. My Fringe mole tells me ... read more 25 Comments
