City folks vie for the approval of residents of the small town of Vega, Texas, by working on local service projects and `character-revealing challenges' in this gentler reality fare. Contestants live with host families and are eliminated in town-hall meetings (`Vega has voted and your time in town is up'). The last remaining city slicker wins $100,000, which is then split with a Vega citizen.
