SOAPnet is staging a seven-hour marathon of Summer-and-Seth-centric O.C. episodes on Labor Day, Sept. 3, starting at noon/ET with "The Heartbreak" (Seth beds Summer for the first time) and concluding with "Earth Girls Are Easy" (Summer tries to conceal her pregnancy scare).... An Aug. 28 DVD release has been set for The Odd Couple: Season 2 and A Night at the Roxbury: Special Collector's Edition.... The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show this year will be broadcast by CBS on Dec. 4, and includes appearances by Heidi Klum, Adriana "Is She Still a Virgin?" Lima and Selita Ebanks.

Jason Alexander (who got his start as a Broadway hoofer) recently seized the reigns of Los Angeles' Reprise! theater series. For his first offering, he's thinking of starring in a reading of The Odd Couple opposite Martin Short. "I want to do an absolute crowd-pleaser," Alexander told Playbill.com (which must be why he nixed the idea of a Bob Patterson adaptation).... A musicalization of 9 to 5 will enjoy a star-studded reading later this month, as West Wing's Allison Janney channels Lily Tomlin and Bebe Neuwirth takes on Roz, the office suck-up. The Jane Fonda, Dolly Parton and Dabney Coleman roles will be filled by stage vets Stephanie J. Block (Pirate Queen), Megan Hilty (Wicked) and Marc Kudisch.... Even in death, Law & Order's Lenny Briscoe gets justice: The Snapple Theater Center is rechristening its third-floor house as "The Jerry Orbach Theater." Former adolescents Michael Davis and Mark Nollinger can still summon their inner middle-schooler when they watch tween TV. They got together the other day to compare notes on the new season for kids who are approximately 5 feet tall, wear braces and inject the word "like" between words, like, all the time.

Nollinger: It's too early to tell with the new shows, although I can imagine that even some folks who loved Beavis and Butt-Head as college students might not welcome Mr. Meaty (premiering Sept. 22, on Nickelodeon) into their living rooms as parents.
