Premise: The elegant English housekeeper Lynn Belvedere becomes a member of the Owens family, which includes sportswriter George, his law-student wife Marsha and their three children. The sitcom was inspired by Gwen Davenport's 1947 novel, which had also been the basis for three movies starring Clifton Webb in the late '40s and early '50s.
