Episode Recap: Drowned World

Episode Recap by Paula Paige
What a show! The Medium season finale opened with Joe throwing the $2,200 cashmere robe at Meghan, and then asking for his idea back, and then he shot her. Unfortunately, he woke up. Too bad, that conniving “bottom-feeder” deserved that. When he actually did see Meghan, a.k.a, “your favorite neighborhood she-devil,” he was understandably ticked off... read full recap

What a show! The Medium season finale opened with Joe throwing the $2,200 cashmere robe at Meghan, and then asking for his idea back, and then he shot her. Unfortunately, he woke up. Too bad, that conniving “bottom-feeder” deserved that. When he actually did see Meghan, a.k.a, “your favorite neighborhood she-devil,” he was understandably ticked off at her. He told her he had shown the robe to Allison and she was none too happy about it. “It’s a robe. It’s cashmere. It’s a luxury item.” Meghan offered to call Al and straighten everything out. But Joe wouldn’t let her. He said he intended to dissolve the business. Meghan reminded him she owned him. He responded by packing his things and walking out of the office. Meghan came after him, asking where he thought he was going, “I’m taking my morals and I’m going home.”It looked like Joe was out of an idea and a job and the potential of an awful lot of money. However,... read more
  • Medium's Meghan Does "Something Pretty Wicked" | TV Show Previews | 5/12/2008 New
It doesn't take a psychic to see that Medium fans do not like Meghan Doyle, the shady business partner being played by Kelly Preston. Chalk it up to an acting job well done? "I guess so!" Preston tells TVGuide.com with a laugh. "I don’t ever read [message boards], but [Medium exec producer] Glenn [Gordon Caron] created a pretty interesting character that I knew would stir things up and get people upset. [Allison and Joe] have a very strong, solid relationship and she threatens to 'jeopardize' that."Exactly how, though, will Meghan make a mess of things as tonight's season finale unspools? Onliners suspect she will either take the DuBois' money and run, slap Joe with a sexual harassment charge, or — gulp — go as far as attempted murder. "I do something that’s pretty wicked," Preston teases. Bad enough to banish Meghan from the show for good? "My story gets pretty wound up pretty succinctly. But as with a lot of the characters, she can come back even if she does... read more

Q: What is going to happen to Medium? I heard it may leap to CBS. A: Not true. NBC's already renewed it for next season ? a decision that is proving eerily prescient considering that in recent weeks the show has been enjoying some of its best ratings and press since Season 1. read more
  • Episode Recap: Being Joey Carmichael | Medium Show Blog | 5/6/2008
It all started with a scrawny little kid beating up the school bully with his lunchbox, that only minutes before the bully had berated. Oh, how I yearned to do the same with my Partridge Family lunchbox. That would have shown any school bully I meant business. It would take several dreams for Allison to find the significance of the dream of the young boy and his twin brother sitting outside the principal’s office. But soon she would realize that the boys in her dream were the same as the adult brothers she was also dreaming about. Miguel Ferrer starred in this episode of Medium as the grown-up version of twin brothers, Joey and Teddy Carmichael. The story, a drug dealer, Curtis Lambert, was shot execution style, one shot into each knee and one into his head. Not that he didn’t deserve it, but it was nasty watching him crawl across the floor with his bloody knees. Who shot him was only part of solving the crime. According to Allison’s dream, it was cut and dry. Joey... read more
