How Did One Life to Live End? Watch the Final Scene!

Erika Slezak Goes to Heaven One Last Time on One Life to Live

ABC's One Life to Live will come to an end next week after 43 years on the air. But, first, Victoria Lord will have one more chance to visit Heaven. The grande dame of Llanview — played by six-time Emmy winner Erika Slezak — is famous for her near-death, out-of-body experiences that land her at the Pearly Gates. She's back there again Monday, Jan. 9, along with her soulmate Clint (Jerry verDorn), after the two of them are shot in a shocking denouement to the Statesville Prison break. This time, Viki will be escorted to the afterlife by her late daughter Megan, played by returning fan fave Jessica Tuck, best known these days as the bitchy vampire activist Nan Flanagan on True Blood. TV Guide Magazine spoke with Slezak about Viki's latest brush with death and — dare we say it? — a possible reprieve for OLTL!

Catherine Hickland Returns to One Life to Live

ABC's landmark soap One Life to Live will end its run January 13 but not before several of the show's most memorable badasses escape from Statesville Prison and return to Llanview to raise some eleventh-hour hell. Among them: Mitch Laurence (Roscoe Born), Troy MacIver (Ty Treadway), Cole Thornhart (Van Hughes), and our fave of faves, Lindsay Rappaport, the camptastic murderess played by Catherine Hickland. Yes, the very same Catherine Hickland who got spitting mad last spring when OLTL and All My Children were cancelled and took to her blog to blast ABC and its (then) daytime chief Brian Frons for destroying the soaps with their "character assassinating, lame storytelling and micromanaging." TV Guide Magazine caught up with the bodacious Hickland, who is now a certified hypnotherapist living in Las Vegas and is two years into a very serious relationship with businessman Todd Fisher (brother of Carrie, son of Debbie). Needless to say, she was extremely surprised to find herself... read more

The dippy beautician, played by that irrepressible diva Ilene Kristen, is Fraternity Row's number one fan (who knew?) and is leading the charge in Llanview to keep the show on the air. TV Guide Magazine spoke with Kristen who will headline a special fantasy episode of OLTL airing Monday, Dec. 19 in which Roxy faints while visiting the set of Fraternity Row. When she wakes up, she's Lorraine, the leading lady of the show! read more
