Following months of speculation about Pat O'Brien's future on The Insider, the show confirmed Thursday that he would not, in fact, be returning."Pat O'Brien is a talented broadcaster who has been a part of The Insider family from the very beginning," a spokesperson for the show said, according to People. "Although we have decided to part ways, everyone at CBS Television Distribution and The Insider greatly appreciate and respect all his contributions to our show. We wish Pat much success in his future endeavors."O'Brien, who took a leave of absence from hosting duties to enter rehab earlier this year, was most recently said to be returning this fall as a correspondent for the show. Though they both promoted the airing of a video allegedly showing Heath Ledger using drugs, Entertainment Tonight and sister show The Insider have elected not to broadcast the incendiary clip.
