Premise: Favorite about the host of a small do-it-yourself cable show, his independent wife and their trio of growing boys. It was a solid Top 10 fixture on the ABC schedule for eight years, gently poking fun at manly men through patriarch Tim `The Tool Man' Taylor, whose grunts for `more power' were typically followed with calls to the local Detroit fire department. The series is based on the stand-up comedy routines of star Tim Allen.
