Q: I'm glad Katee Sackhoff didn't get the role on CSI. She's too good for that show. Where will Starbuck go next? Joss Whedon's Dollhouse? A: All the major Dollhouse roles have been cast, so I doubt there's a place for her there. Q: I am rather excited for J.J. Abrams' Fringe and Joss Whedon's Dollhouse this fall on Fox, but now I read that Battlestar Galactica's Ronald D. Moore is developing Virtuality, a back-door pilot for Fox based on an idea from Lloyd Braun, one of the instigators of Lost. I'm amazed at the pedigree of talent Fox is attracting right now from the sci-fi genre. Abrams, Whedon and Moore must be among the most prestigious names in modern science-fiction television. The mystery as to which Buffyverse grad Joss Whedon was considering for Dollhouse has been solved! Early this morning, Whedon announced on his blog that Angel vet Amy Acker is joining the show's cast in the recurring role of Dr. Claire Saunders, the smart yet sad looker-after of the dolls who may or may not have a crush on nerdy programmer Topher (Fran Kranz). Harry Lennix Enters Joss Whedon's Dollhouse | Today's News: Our Take | 4/17/2008
The latest interesting actor to sign on for Dollhouse, Joss Whedon's new drama for Fox, is Harry Lennix. According to the Reporter, Lennix will play Boyd, an ex-cop who acts as bodyguard to Eliza Dushku's Echo.Lennix's recent TV turns include Commander in Chief (where he hooked up with Natasha Henstridge) and 24 (where he was mired in a nearly irrelevant sub-subplot). Look what I've got — fresh Dollhouse casting prattle! Even better, this performer's name doesn't resemble a word jumble! English actress Olivia Williams has landed the role of Adelle, the Dollhouse's cold and sophisticated leader. She runs things with an efficiency that is both ruthless and protective. In other words, she would die before she showed anyone how lonely she is. Never heard of her, but she sure is perty. She's also got a Wikipedia page, which is always helpful. This just in: OMG, she was Bruce Willis' wife in The Sixth Sense!
