Adelle's (Bello) attempt to reunite her daughter, Sarah, with her father (Bean) turns into a living nightmare when, days into the trip. Sarah is mysteriously swept out to sea and drowned. Haunted by visions of her daughter. Adelle learns of a local legend - a place called The Dark - a land of the dead that is a distorted mirror image of the real world. The legend dictates that the dead can be returned from The Dark if the ultimate sacrifice is made - one of the living for one of the dead.
