Britta's tendency toward civil disobedience awakens after her friend is captured in a foreign country. Elsewhere, Chang gets comfortable in his job with campus security; Annie takes on her new frenemy (Irene Choi) during a Model United Nations match, leaving Professor Cligoris (Martin Starr) struggling to maintain order.
Britta fears someone in the group is a sociopath after her anonymous personality test turns up unsettling results. In order to find out who's disturbed, she and Jeff persuade the gang to tell horror stories.
Pierce throws a party to celebrate the popularity of his wipes, but his dad (Larry Cedar) shows up and puts a damper on the festivities. Elsewhere, Troy becomes a hot commodity for Vice Dean Laybourne (John Goodman) and a janitor (Jerry Minor).
Jeff and Shirley join forces to take on arrogant classmates in a game of foosball. Elsewhere, Annie doesn't come clean after she accidentally breaks Abed's new DVD, and the lie quickly snowballs when Abed launches a search to find the culprit.
Greendale's choir director (Taran Killam) recruits the study group to fill in for the sidelined glee club. Though initially skeptical, the gang soon get in the spirit for the school's Christmas pageant.
Andre and Shirley plan to remarry, throwing Annie and Britta into wedding-planning mode. Jeff, meanwhile, prepares a speech while Troy and Abed practice acting normal. Elsewhere, Pierce and Shirley present a sandwich-shop proposal to Dean Pelton.
Jeff is debilitated by his narcissism, which skyrockets when his confidence is boosted by anti-anxiety medication and regular visits to a shrink. Elsewhere, the gang try to help Abed pay off his debt from a celebrity-impersonator habit by performing at a Bar Mitzvah celebration.
Part 1 of 2. A sandwich shop opens in the cafeteria, drawing the ire of Shirley, Pierce and Britta, who scheme to close the place down; Laybourne tries again to convince Troy to join him; and Abed and Troy battle over competing blanket forts.
Annie, Troy and Abed try to help Britta avoid an old flame who has returned to town, while Jeff and Shirley set out to catch a glimpse of the mystery man. Elsewhere, Laybourne turns to Dean Pelton for help with his pursuit of Troy.
Annie and Abed spend some quality time together in the Dreamatorium for a simulation of "Inspector Spacetime." The exercise takes a turn toward the serious, however, with examinations of the study group and insight into Abed's personality.
When the group's science project is smashed, they launch a hunt for the culprit and hold a trial, over which the reluctant Professor Kane presides. But Jeff soon realizes there's much more to the story than anyone realizes.
The death of a classmate gives Britta a chance to play counselor to the others by using the psychology lessons she's recently learned, but Jeff appears unaffected by the loss. Elsewhere, Chang makes a play to gain more power over campus security when the memorial service turns into a riot.
Pierce fights for his inheritance after being summoned to Hawthorne Enterprises by his deceased father's right-hand man. The study group tag along to offer their support and soon get involved in the battle.
The group plan a sneak attack to loosen Chang's grip on Greendale. With Chang's birthday plans serving as a distraction, Jeff and the gang make their move. Troy, meanwhile, turns to the Air Conditioning Repair Annex for help with the plans.
In the Season 3 finale, Jeff represents Shirley in a dispute with Pierce, who, in turn, retains the services of Jeff's former colleague. Elsewhere, Vice Dean Laybourne makes one last attempt to lure Troy to the Air Conditioning Repair Annex.
