Thank God the Dave Foley Q&A Is Here!

One-fifth of the late, great sketch comedy troupe Kids in the Hall, Dave Foley has gone full circle, returning to the unpredictable world of improv playing judge and jury on NBC's Thank God You're Here (Wednesdays at 8 pm/ET), an amusing comedy-competition series in which performers act in scenes without benefit of a script.

TV Guide: What qualifies you for this?
Dave Foley:
I think obviously being the wisest of all comedians is my main qualification. Really — if I'm to be honest with you — next to nothing. I have no qualifications for this job or, for that matter, any of the jobs I've ever had.

Tom Everett Scott's Life Is Saved

Described by some as "Rescue Me for the ambulance-driving set," TNT's Saved (Mondays at 10 pm/ET; the premiere rebroadcasts this Wednesday at 11 pm) stars Tom Everett Scott as Wyatt Cole, a paramedic dealing — or not — with a domineering father, a lady doc "ex," and the dilemma of whether to give med school that one last long-after-college try. Oh, and he also has a gambling problem, one so bad it puts his self-stitching expertise to good use. TVGuide.com read more

Answer: This humble game-show...

Answer: This humble game-show host can bluff at poker with the best of them. Question: Who is Alex Trebek? Too bad that he ultimately lost on, well, not Jeopardy!, but Celebrity Poker. Hey, at least he fared better than Sean Connery in an SNL parody of Celebrity Jeopardy!. Tonight was quite an exciting night: Dave had to call for security when Michael Vartan tried to return to the table after getting his butt kicked by Anthony Anderson's quad five slow play; those same fives reared their ugly heads when Alex landed a set to take a bunch of Anthony's cash; and awesome poker-player Annie Duke (whom I want to be just like when I grow up) dropped by for a short visit. So cool, as she's like, the coolest chick in this often male-dominated game. I think that even though she picked newcomer Amber Tamblyn to win, she'd probably be pretty proud that Curb Your Enthusiasm's Cheryl Hines read more
