Big Eddie on CBS

Reformed mobster Big Eddie Smith goes legit as the owner of a sports arena. Most of the comedy is milked from the gruff New Yorker's well-intentioned efforts to open his mind and improve his manners. Sheldon Leonard had earlier produced a string of hit sitcoms with Danny Thomas, including `The Andy Griffith Show,' `The Dick Van Dyke Show' and Thomas's own `Make Room for Daddy.'
