The international trailer for Angel, a film about a precocious girl from poor background with aspirations to being a novelist finds herself swept to fame and fortune when her tasteless romances hit the best seller lists (if such things existed at the time!). Her life changes in unexpected ways when she encounters an aristocratic brother and sister, both of whom have cultural ambitions, and both of whom fall in love with her. watch

Angel's Andy Hallett Dies of Heart Failure at 33; Remembered as "Beacon of Love and Laughter"

Andy Hallett, who played suave demon Lorne on Angel, has died after a five-year battle with heart disease, according to his agent. He was 33.

The actor died of heart failure at Cedars Sinai Medical Center Monday, Hallett's agent and friend Pat Brady told E! Online. Hallett's father, Dave, was by his side when he died.

Hallett was from the Cape Cod village  of Osterville, Mass., and appeared in more than 70 episodes of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer spin-off Angel as Lorne, a friendly demon who hosted and performed karaoke at a demon bar. Angel castmate Charisma Carpenter tells TVGuide.com ... read more

Will Buffy reunite with Angel anytime soon?

Got Questions for Joss Whedon?

Joss Whedon, the singular mind who in the past has given us Buffy, Angel, "Captain Tightpants" and Dr. Horrible soon will introduce television viewers to another memorable (if "forgetful" character) — Dollhouse's Echo, played by Eliza Dushku. Echo is an "active," a kind of a robot-hooker hybrid whose native personality and memories have been erased, allowing her to be programmed with the specific skills or characteristics that any "engagement" — or client with a robust checkbook — requires.

As the Feb. 13 series premiere of Fox's Dollhouse nears, Whedon will be dropping by TVGuide.com HQ to answer not just our questions but many of yours. So take a moment, give it some thought and offer up the one thing you would ask Joss — on any topic — after the jump. read more

The WB Is Back, with Gilmore Girls and More!

Two years after signing off the airwaves, the WB is returning with new programming — as well as some of its most memorable series — but not on TV. According to an article in the Hollywood Reporter, the Warner Bros. Television Group is reviving the network as a website, where viewers will be able to watch free streaming episodes of Gilmore Girls, What I Like About You and Everwood, as well as all other WB-produced shows. (The site's "working title," wb.com, currently jumps to a general Warner Bros. Studios roundup of movies, TV, DVDs, etc.)The WB, which merged with UPN in 2006 to become the bastion of twentysomething programming that is the CW, aired a string of fan-favorite shows in its 10-year existence, including Dawson's Creek, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. It's not clear yet whether non-Warner Bros. shows will be available on the site, but new Web-minisodes are reportedly in the works, with series aimed at the WB's core audience.Warner Bros. hasn't confirmed the ... read more

Premise: The enlightened vampire risks his soul to battle dark forces in the City of Angels in this noirish 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' spin-off. Formerly the Slayer's lover and ally, Angel relocated to L.A. seeking redemption for years of preying on innocents by combating demonic predators. It was a stylish addition to series creator Joss Whedon's 'Buffy' saga, anchored by David Boreanaz's tender-tough title hero.
