Fired General Hospital star Kari...

Fired General Hospital star Kari Wuhrer (ex-Reese) has gone all Hunter Tylo on her former employers and filed a pregnancy-discrimination lawsuit. In dramatic court documents obtained by TMZ.com, Wuhrer alleges that "there is a viral pandemic of discriminatory conduct raging through ABC's daytime soaps. The vile underbelly of the Hollywood Machine encourages female actors to be as beautiful and slim as possible.... Even one whiff that an actress on an ABC daytime soap has conceived a child is enough to have her character killed off the show." She goes on to allege that Lesli Kay (Felicia, The Bold and the Beautiful) also lost her role as GH's Lois as a result of a pregnancy. Wuhrer is seeking damages "in excess of $1 million."

"ABC Daytime has a clear track record of working with actresses on all of its programs to continue their employment during pregnancy," an ABC spokesperson tells TVGuide.com. "The decision to eliminate Ms. Wuhrer's character on [GH] was made for legitimate creative reasons, was consistent with her contract and was not motivated by her pregnancy."

As for Lesli Kay, a B&B rep says the actress has "no comment" on Wuhrer's allegations.
