Love never dies, especially on soaps!
For a dead character,
All My Children's Noah Keefer sure spends a lot of time on the front burner. Ever since
Sydney Penny returned as Noah's "widow," Julia, she has bitched and moaned about his off-screen mob murder, vowing vengeance and conveniently setting up nostalgic old clips from
Keith Hamilton Cobb's 1994-96 stint as Noah. So is Cobb coming back?
Well, the popular soap brooder, who was let go by The Young and the Restless earlier this year, is out of work. Sources close to the situation say Cobb has been approached by AMC, but no actual deal has been struck. As for Cobb's camp, his rep coyly states: "I can neither confirm nor deny anything."
"Right now, our story is about Julia, and she believes Noah is dead," AMC head writer Megan McTavish recently told TVGuide.com. "You can argue that down the road, who knows? People tend not to stay dead on soap operas. I don’t know why that is!"
All this means that fans should keep their hopes for a Julia-Noah reunion alive. Because he just might be, after all….
