Daytime Emmys Aiming for Golden Globes Energy

What ingredients go into a successful TV awards show? Hmm...fancy gowns, lots of energy, poignant speeches...how about free-flowing alcohol?
In an effort to mimic the unpredictable nature of the Golden Globe Awards, attendees at this evening's Daytime Emmy Awards (ABC, 8 pm/ET) will be treated to an open bar. They'll also be sitting at dinner theater-style round tables.

Sherri Shepherd told the
AP. "This year, it'll be like a wedding. We're also going to do something so that fans will be able to get a view of what's going on at the different tables."
Celebs will find digital video cameras at their tables to capture the evening's events. Video will be uploaded to
SOAPnet.com throughout the evening so that viewers can follow all the fun and antics of their favorite daytime stars.
