Lil' Kim guests as Shirley Ellis, singing “The Clapping Song” on “Bandstand” in an episode in which Meg and Patty are stepping up and stepping out: they've been invited to their first college and high-school parties, respectively. And Jack's back in elementary school---as the basketball coach for Will's class. Will can't play, of course, but does get to be his dad's assistant. Meanwhile, Helen strikes up a friendship with Uncle Pete's latest girlfriend (Alicia Coppola); JJ's new squad leader, Palladino (Francis Capra), harasses underage recruit Clovis (Stephen Monroe Taylor); and Sam confronts Nathan (Keith Robinson) about his “construction” job.
