I am having problems registering, can you help?
In order to complete your registration, you needed to follow a link in a confirmation email. This may have been put in your junk or bulk mail folder by your email provider. You can get this email sent again by attempting to log in with the username (not email) that you registered.

If you have already registered and need to reset your password or forgot your username, go to http://www.tvguide.com/FAP/PasswordReset.aspx and enter a previously registered email address. You'll receive an email with your username. Follow the link in it to enter a new password.

If you had registered before September 12, 2006 and can't log in with the same username as before, try to register it again. If it says the name is already taken, follow the process above to reset your password.
Do you have VCR Plus codes on your site?
TVGuide.com no longer carries VCR+ codes. For information, please visit VCRplus.com
How are the lists of popular TV Shows, Movies, and Celebrities determined?
Popular items are determined using total page views over the past week.

Technical Questions
What are cookies, and why do you use them?
A "cookie" is information that a web site stores in your browser or on your hard drive. A site only has access to information that it stored in your cookie, not data other sites put there. We use cookies to speed the download of information and to simplify navigation of our site. When you come back to TV Guide Online, certain preferences — such as your login information or ZIP code for the TV listings — will be called up, saving you time and making access faster.
Why doesn't the site work on my system?
Have you tried refreshing the page? Closed then reopened your browser? Have you cleared your cache/deleted your temporary internet files recently? What browser are you using? We recommend using Internet Explorer 6 or higher or Firefox 1.5 or higher. Internet Explorer comes with the Windows operating system. You can download Firefox for Windows or Mac for free from Mozilla.
Videos on the site won't play. How come?
The TVGuide.com Media Player requires the Flash 9 (or higher) plug-in for your browser. To see what version of Flash you are running and download the latest plug-in please visit Adobe Download Center at: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash.
Listings Questions
Why won't my settings save?
Your preferences are saved using a cookie from our site that is then saved on your computer. Please check your browser's privacy settings to ensure your system accepts cookies from our site and does not delete them.
When I view my TV Listings, I get the channel lineup for a provider different than my own. How do I change my provider?
From the TV Listings page, click the "Edit Location" link, enter your zip code, and select your Cable or Satellite provider from the list by clicking the link for it.
I can't find my cable provider among those who are listed for my ZIP code. Who can I notify?
Submit an email using our Customer Support form being sure to include the following information: your zip code, your cable/satellite provider company, some examples of the channel numbers/names from the lineup you view in your home. You can find the Customer Support form by clicking here.
I would like to view lineups from two zip codes in one, single listings grid. Is this possible?
Currently the listings grid can only pull data from one zip code only.
I cannot find Canada in your International Countries list. How can I obtain Canadian listings?
Due to contractual reasons, we no longer offer Canadian listings.
What does the "Grid Preferences" feature do on my TV Listings page?
The Grid Preferences feature on your TV Listings page allows you to customize your TV Listings view. Customization options include creating a list of your Favorite Channels and/or choosing a personalized start time. Enjoy tailoring your listings to your own preferences.
How come I'm only seeing some channels that my service provider offers in my TV Listings and not all of them?
You probably either are viewing a different version of the TV Listings for your service provider or you're viewing a customized view of the TV Listings. To view the correct version of your TV Listings for your service provider, click the "Edit Location" link on the TV Listings page, enter your zip code, and select your Cable or Satellite provider from the list by clicking the link for it. To edit or reset the custom view of your TV Listings, make sure you have not chosen one of the auto-filter buttons and are, in fact, viewing “All Channels” rather than “Movies” or “Favorite Channels” for example.
Some channels are missing or are incorrectly listed in my lineup. Who can I notify?
Submit an email using our Customer Support form being sure to include the following information: your zip code, your cable/satellite provider company, and the channel numbers/names that are missing or appear incorrectly. You can find the Customer Support form by clicking here.
Why are my PPV or Music Channels missing from my channel lineup listing?
To reach that grid information, do the following:

  • Go to the listings grid page
  • Click on the red "Grid Preferences" button
  • Uncheck the following two boxes:
    • Hide (audio-only) music channels
    • Hide Pay-Per-View channels
You will then be able to see the PPV and Music channels.
I am looking for past listings. Where can I find this information on your site?
We do not archive our online listings.
Network Questions
My TV Guide Network on TV isn't correct. Who do I call?
Call your local cable system. Only the cable system can correct this.
The scroll on the TV Guide Network is missing some channels. How can this be updated?
TV Guide Network is provided a list of channels and designations by each individual cable operator. If a channel is omitted, this is generally at the cable operator's request.
I would like to be on your show Look-A-Like. How can I become a contestant?
Auditions for TV Guide Network's hit series Look-A-Like are presently closed. Keep watching for future opportunities.
iPhone Application Questions
How do I get started?
When you launch the app, you will be prompted to enter your zip code. Once you enter your zip code, a list of service providers will be displayed to select from. The TV Guide Mobile app is then customized for your personal viewing.
If I travel to another service provider location, do I need to change the zip code for the new state?
Yes, you will need to change the zip code and service provider settings.
How do I see what is on currently?
When you launch the TV Guide Mobile, it will display programming for the current time.
How do I search for all programs for a particular time?
On the top gray navigation bar, tap the down arrow positioned to the right of the time. A day/time selector will pop up. Rotate to the desired day and time and tap the gray ‘OK’ button.
How do I find what is on TV during prime time tonight?
On the top gray navigation bar, tap the down arrow positioned to the right of the time. A day/time selector will pop up. Select the ‘Prime’ button and tap the ‘OK’ button.
How can I view a detailed description of a program?
Click on the program name and the program detail window will open.
How can I view all episodes of a program?
On the bottom tab bar, tap the Search function (magnifying glass icon) and a virtual keypad will be displayed. Type the show name and it will list all the channels that with run that show.
How can I browse upcoming programs on a specific channel?
Scroll until you see the station call letter or logo. Slide to the right to see upcoming programming for that channel.
How do I designate a favorite channel in my Favorites?
Select any listing for a given channel then you will be given the option to add the channel to your favorites.
How can I add a favorite TV show to my Favorites?
Select any program then you will be given the option to add the channel to your favorites.
How do I remove a favorite channel or show?
On the bottom tab bar, tap the Favorites key and select either the ‘Channel’ or ‘Show’ tab. Press the Edit key then select the one you want to delete.
How can I view current entertainment news?
In the bottom tab bar, select the News icon and you will get a list the day’s top entertainment news stories.
What can I sort search results by?
You can sort alphabetically, by genre or date.
What are the genres?
The genres are movie, sports, news, lifestyle, music and children.
Can I search by TV show name?
Yes. Go into the Search field using the virtual keypad, type the show name and it will list all the channels that with run that show.
How do I download the TV Guide Mobile TV from the Apple App Store?
Once in the Apple App Store, you can search for the TV Guide listing app.
How do I update the application?
Once you install the TV Guide Mobile application, the Apple App Store will notify you when an update is available.
