I used to sign in to TVGuide.com with Facebook. Do I have to register?
In order for us to offer more features, everyone needs to register through TVGuide.com. If you used to sign in with your Facebook account, you will now use it to create a TVGuide.com account. We will automatically pull in your Facebook information to help make registering on TVGuide.com faster and easier.
Why should I register on TVGuide.com?
Registered users can:
  • Create a personalized TV Watchlist and never miss a game or episode of your favorite show again
  • Stay localized for listings information; you’ll never have to set up your cable/satellite provider again!

How do I register?
To register, just click on "Sign Up"  in the upper left-hand corner of the website and follow the instructions. Once your registration is complete, you should receive an email asking you to confirm your registration. If you do not receive a confirmation email within the hour, please be sure to check your spam folder and filters to make sure the email is not being blocked.
Why am I required to activate my account?
It's to ensure that someone else does not sign up under your name.
I lost my original activation e-mail. How do I get a new one?
You can go to here and request a new one.
I used to sign in with my username, and now you want my email. I don't remember which address I signed up with. Help!
If you have multiple email addresses you may want to try logging in with each of them. If none work, you're welcome to create a new account.
How do I change my account information or user profile?
You can change your information on your profile management page.
Why are you asking me for more information even though I have registered before?
We'll be collecting some more information such as favorite TV shows and sports teams in order to deliver a more personalized experience every time you visit TVGuide.com.
What is a Watchlist?
A Watchlist allows you to see all the ways you can watch your favorite shows, teams, celebrities and movies. Whether it's live, online, on cable, or On Demand, Watchlist lets you know what's on and when.
I had a Watchlist before but now it’s not showing up. Help!
Did you have a TVGuide.com and a Facebook Connect account? If so, sign in to your TVGuide.com account and link your Facebook account under "Connections" in your Profile Management.
How do I sign up for email newsletters?
You can sign up during the registration process, or if you are already signed in, you can sign up on your profile management page.

Do you have VCR Plus codes on your site?
TVGuide.com no longer carries VCR+ codes. For information, please visit VCRplus.com
How are the lists of popular TV Shows, Movies, and Celebrities determined?
Popular items are determined using total page views over the past week.
How can I send comments or suggestions on your site?
Our editors look forward to your input, and although we can't respond personally to all mail, your ideas and complaints are certainly noted. So tell us.
Do you respect my privacy?
Absolutely. The only information we store about you is what you give us. TV Guide Online will not collect personal information from you without your knowledge. In addition, our subscription form with credit card information is protected by Verisign Public Certification Services, which ensures the authenticity and privacy of the subscription information you submit to us. Technical Questions
What are cookies, and why do you use them?
A "cookie" is information that a web site stores in your browser or on your hard drive. A site only has access to information that it stored in your cookie, not data other sites put there. We use cookies to speed the download of information and to simplify navigation of our site. When you come back to TV Guide Online, certain preferences — such as your sign-in information or ZIP code for the TV listings — will be called up, saving you time and making access faster.
Why doesn't the site work on my system?
Have you tried refreshing the page? Closed then reopened your browser? Have you cleared your cache/deleted your temporary internet files recently? What browser are you using? We recommend using Internet Explorer 6 or higher or Firefox 1.5 or higher. Internet Explorer comes with the Windows operating system. You can download Firefox for Windows or Mac for free from Mozilla.
Videos on the site won't play. How come?
The TVGuide.com Media Player requires the Flash 9 (or higher) plug-in for your browser. To see what version of Flash you are running and download the latest plug-in please visit Adobe Download Center at: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash.
Listings Questions
Why won't my settings save?
Your preferences are saved using a cookie from our site that is then saved on your computer. Please check your browser's privacy settings to ensure your system accepts cookies from our site and does not delete them.
When I view my TV Listings, I get the channel lineup for a provider different than my own. How do I change my provider?
From the TV Listings page, click the "Edit Location" link, enter your zip code, and select your Cable or Satellite provider from the list by clicking the link for it.
I can't find my cable provider among those who are listed for my ZIP code. Who can I notify?
Submit an email using our Customer Support form being sure to include the following information: your zip code, your cable/satellite provider company, some examples of the channel numbers/names from the lineup you view in your home. You can find the Customer Support form by clicking here.
I would like to view lineups from two zip codes in one, single listings grid. Is this possible?
Currently the listings grid can only pull data from one zip code only.
I cannot find Canada in your International Countries list. How can I obtain Canadian listings?
Due to contractual reasons, we no longer offer Canadian listings.
What does the "Grid Preferences" feature do on my TV Listings page?
The Grid Preferences feature on your TV Listings page allows you to customize your TV Listings view. Customization options include creating a list of your Favorite Channels and/or choosing a personalized start time. Enjoy tailoring your listings to your own preferences.
How come I'm only seeing some channels that my service provider offers in my TV Listings and not all of them?
You probably either are viewing a different version of the TV Listings for your service provider or you're viewing a customized view of the TV Listings. To view the correct version of your TV Listings for your service provider, click the "Edit Location" link on the TV Listings page, enter your zip code, and select your Cable or Satellite provider from the list by clicking the link for it. To edit or reset the custom view of your TV Listings, make sure you have not chosen one of the auto-filter buttons and are, in fact, viewing “All Channels” rather than “Movies” or “Favorite Channels” for example.
Some channels are missing or are incorrectly listed in my lineup. Who can I notify?
Submit an email using our Customer Support form being sure to include the following information: your zip code, your cable/satellite provider company, and the channel numbers/names that are missing or appear incorrectly. You can find the Customer Support form by clicking here.
Why are my PPV or Music Channels missing from my channel lineup listing?
To reach that grid information, do the following:

  • Go to the listings grid page
  • Click on the red "Grid Preferences" button
  • Uncheck the following two boxes:
    • Hide (audio-only) music channels
    • Hide Pay-Per-View channels
You will then be able to see the PPV and Music channels.
I am looking for past listings. Where can I find this information on your site?
We do not archive our online listings.
Network Questions
My TV Guide Network on TV isn't correct. Who do I call?
Call your local cable system. Only the cable system can correct this.
The scroll on the TV Guide Network is missing some channels. How can this be updated?
TV Guide Network is provided a list of channels and designations by each individual cable operator. If a channel is omitted, this is generally at the cable operator's request.
I would like to be on your show Look-A-Like. How can I become a contestant?
Auditions for TV Guide Network's hit series Look-A-Like are presently closed. Keep watching for future opportunities.
iPhone Application Questions
How do I install the TV Guide Mobile app?
You can search for the TV Guide Mobile app in the Apple App Store. It is free to install.
If I travel to another service provider location, do I need to change the zip code for the new city/state?
Yes, you will need to change the zip code and service provider settings.
How do I change my zip code and service provider after I’ve entered it for the first time?
On the navigation bar, tap Options, then Settings. Tap the arrow next to the current service provider entered. Tap the zip code, a virtual keypad will appear and you can enter in a new zip code. Tap Search, and a new list of service providers will appear. Tap the provider you want to select, then Yes.
How do I find what is on TV for a particular time?
Tap the down arrow, positioned to the right of the date/time display within the app. A day/time selector will pop up. Rotate to the desired day and time and tap OK.
How do I find what is on TV during prime time tonight?
Tap the down arrow, positioned to the right of the date/time display within the app. A day/time selector will pop up. Tap Prime, then OK.
How can I view a detailed description of a program?
Tap the program name within the listings and a detail window will open.
How do I add a TV show or channel to my Favorites?
In the TV Listings grid, tap any show name for the show or channel you want to add to your Favorites. A screen will pop up with icons. Tap 'Add Favorite Show' or 'Add Favorite Channel', then Click OK when the confirmation box appears.
How do I sort my Favorite TV shows?
On the navigation bar, tap Favorites. On the top bar, tap Shows, then Edit. By tapping and pressing down on the 3-bar icon to the right of each show, you can move shows up or down. Tap Done. This order will be remembered next time you launch the app.
How do I remove a TV show or channel from my Favorites?
On the navigation bar, tap Favorites. Then on the top bar, tap Edit. Tap the red button to the left of the channel or show you want to remove. Tap Delete, then Done.
How can I jump to a particular channel by scrolling?
Tap and hold down the dots on the right side of the listings. A scroll bar will appear. Move up and down to find the channel you’re looking for.

Video Questions
What is the Watchlist?
The Watchlist allows you to add your favorite shows to your account. As new full episodes of your shows become available we will add them to your Watchlist. The Watchlist service is free but some videos offered, such as those from iTunes and Amazon on Demand, are not. Also, some full episodes will expire after a limited time.
I added a show to my Watchlist or searched for it but no full episodes appeared?
Networks do not make all tv show full episodes available online. TVGuide.com gathers full episodes for over 300,000 shows from 120 different online sources.
Why am I redirected to the iTunes site when try to watch some videos?
If iTunes is listed as the video’s source, then the video will not play on TVGuide.com. You will be prompted to download the video from iTunes. Most videos from iTunes will require a payment to iTunes.
Why do I get a message that says a video cannot be played in my region?
Some videos have restrictions on where they can be played. These restrictions are set by video providers and are not under the control of TVGuide.com
Why do I get a message that says the video has expired?
Some videos will only be available for a limited amount of time. If you receive a message that says that the video has expired then the video is no longer available online.
Are all full episodes on TVguide.com free?
The Watchlist service is free but some videos offered, such as those from iTunes and Amazon on Demand, are not. Also, some full episodes will expire after a limited time.
