It's the Baby Geniuses sequel we've always wanted
Big Bang Theory fans won't have to mourn the loss of their favorite characters for too long after the series finale, because immediately following the closing episode, Young Sheldon will introduce the whole lineup as little ones!
That's right -- TV Line reports that the Young Sheldon Season 2 finale, which directly follows Big Bang's final bow, will introduce wee versions of Leonard, Penny, Howard, Raj, Amy, and Bernadette, long before they grow up and become the geek squad we know and love from the CBS sitcom's parent show.
The Big Bang Theory Farewell Special to Air After Series Finale
The Big Bang Theory and its spin-off previously crossed over earlier this season in Big Bang episode "The VCR Illumination." When Sheldon (Jim Parsons) was down and out about a theory gone wrong, he turned to an old video tape of the very prescient Young Sheldon (Iain Armitage) offering up a nice pep talk.
The Big Bang Theory's series finale will air on Thursday, May 16 at 8/7c on CBS, with Young Sheldon's Season 2 finale following at 9/8c.
Young Sheldon is available to stream on CBS All Access.
