Lifetime's drama pilot Witches of East End has bewitched two new cast members: Twin Peaks vet Madchen Amick and ER grad Glenne Headly, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The pilot, based on Melissa de la Cruz's best-selling novel, is about Joanna Beauchamp (Julia Ormond), whose two adult daughters (Step Up's Jenna Dewan-Tatum and In Plain Sight's Rachel Boston) have no clue that they're the family's next generation of witches.

However, that all changes when one of the daughters becomes engaged to newcomer Dash (Royal Pains' Patrick Heusinger), and a subsequent series of events leads Joanna to tell her daughters the truth. Amick will play Joanna's sister, a beautiful and funny witch who takes the form of a cat — including the nine lives part. Headly will play Dash's mom.

Amick most recently guest-starred on Political Animals and Drop Dead Diva. Headly just wrapped a turn as the mother of Ben (Adam Scott) on Parks and Recreation.

Witches of East End's pilot was penned by Maggie Friedman, who also executive-produced ABC's short-lived Eastwick in 2009. She will also executive-produce the pilot.
