Winona Ryder is headed to TV with a new project at Netflix.
She will star on the streaming service's untitled supernatural thriller that's also "a love letter to the '80s classics that captivated a generation," TVLine reports.
On the '80s-set eight-episode series, a young boy vanishes into thin air. As friends, family and local police search for answers, they are drawn into a mystery involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl. Ryder will play Joyce, mother of the missing 2-year-old. In the quest to rescue her son, she summons a strength she never knew she had.
